Role Objective:
Organize, Plan and Coordinate resources in aircraft maintenance to ensure proper and timely servicing and repairing at short turnaround.
Perform inspection and certify maintenance work carried-out by himself and by non-certifying staff allocated under his control on Company’s or customers’ aircraft and airborne equipment to the standards required by the Airworthiness Authority and the Company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize plan and co-ordinate resources in the aircraft maintenance to ensure proper and timely repair
- Perform inspection and certify maintenance work carried out by him and by non-certifying staff allocated under him on Company’s or customer’s aircraft and airborne equipment to the standards required by the Airworthiness Authority and the Company.
- Supervision of staff under his control to ensure that the Company’s Rules and Regulations and standards are adhered to and maintained.
- Ensure that all tooling and equipment provided is serviceable and calibrated and are operated to the Company’s standards and report any unserviceability, to ensure corrective action is taken.
- Ensure that all incident and accident occurrences are recorded and reported to the Manager Quality Assurance and Manager Aircraft Line Maintenance.
- Approve requisitions for spare parts and materials required for servicing and maintenance of company fleet.
- Inspection of work performed for Salam Air to ensure that airworthiness authority requirement, rules, regulations, procedures and directives are complied.
- Liaise with Quality Assurance team on all matters related to airworthiness maintenance / service difficulties.
- Ensure that all work areas allocated, including aircraft Hangar are maintained in a safe and good housekeeping order.
- Report to the Manager Line Maintenance in respect of all Airworthiness matters connected with the ‘Terms of Approval’ as described in the Company exposition.
- Ensure that all manuals and publications used are up to date, treated with care and returned to their storage location.
- Coordinate and support the Manager – Line Maintenance in having an effective defect follow up with CAME, proper troubleshooting and timely rectification of ADD/MDD, Hold item are cleared in the stipulated time.
- Ensure that all staff working in the shift adheres to the HSE policies of the company and comply with regulatory authority requirements.
- Assist in ensuring proper work documents are raised, controlled and cleared up in accordance with approved procedures and methods prior to releasing aircraft for service.
- Supervision of all staff under him to ensure that the company’s rules, regulations and standards and adhered to and maintained
- Carry out any other Aircraft maintenance task as and when directed by Line Maintenance Manager.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- 3-year diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (Graduate shall be an advantage)
- Ab-initio courses for Aircraft Engineer.
- ICAO Type II Basic License
- 5 years in aircraft maintenance workshop as certified engineer
- Level 2 NDT qualification in all methods.
