Tasks
As Head of Crew Control, you oversee day-to-day crew deployment, ensure reserve management, monitor performance, drive system innovation, and foster collaboration across interfaces. You lead a high-performing team ensuring 24/7 operations continuity and crew control excellence.
- Ensure seamless and compliant daily crew deployment across all SWISS flights, including adherence to legal, regulatory, and collective labor requirements
- Manage optimal crew reserve usage and enable timely responses to short-term operational disruptions
- Monitor crew performance through KPIs, escalate critical issues, and provide insights to senior management
- Foster strong collaboration with key operational interfaces to ensure effective communication and coordination under pressure
- Drive the evolution of crew control processes, fostering innovation, automation, and best use of crew management systems
- Lead, manage, and develop the Crew Control Team consisting of shift leaders and analysts, ensuring training, shift continuity, and a high-performance culture

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, aviation management, or a related field
- Extensive experience in crew management or airline operations, ideally within real-time or shift-based environments
- Strong decision-making and leadership skills under time pressure and operational complexity
- Proven ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups
- Solid understanding of aviation regulations, flight time limitations, and collective labor agreements
- Fluent in English and German
