Oaklands Global are currently recruiting for an Ops Support Officer on behalf of one of our growing aviation clients based in Southeast England. We are seeking a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, working closely with internal teams and external partners such as airlines, handlers, and suppliers. The ideal candidate will remain calm under pressure, with the ability to effectively resolve operational challenges including schedule disruptions and service issues. This role follows a hybrid working model, 3 days in the office 2 remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of the flight programme, ensuring operations are cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with commercial and operational requirements.
- Manage schedule disruptions, implementing recovery plans to minimise customer impact, and maintain accurate long-term schedule communication with stakeholders.
- Coordinate all operational service requirements for network and charter flights, including permits, slots, ground handling, cargo coordination, fuel planning, and customs documentation.
- Source and onboard suppliers as needed, ensuring compliance with internal processes and partner requirements, and maintain accurate records within company systems.
- Oversee service-related costs, including crew travel arrangements, and review/approve associated invoices.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, suppliers, and airline partners, ensuring clear and timely communication across all parties.
- Assist with operational analysis, including route performance, airport suitability, and handling quotations.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships, contributing to effective cross-functional collaboration and communication.
Requirements
- Previous experience in network planning, charter operations, or a similar aviation logistics role is preferred.
- Exposure to international flight coordination would be advantageous.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with confidence in managing and resolving operational challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including airlines, handlers, and suppliers.
