TASK RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keep the Flight Planning System up to date
• Manage the navigation section and take care of all the Lido Data Maintenance tasks, such as Predefined Routes, monthly AIRAC update and changes, Taxi times, Alternate and Aircraft Performance Correction setup
• Create, insert and manage Company NOTAMs, Crew Bulletins and Dispatch Bulletins
• Create and manage Flight Planning rules for pre-calculations and automatic Flight Plan generation
• Test and coordinate further Flight Planning System Developments
• Coordinate and test bug fixes, new Service Releases and Version Releases
• Test and evaluate new tools and modules in the Flight Planning System
• Perform various analysis according to daily tasks (e.g.: analysis and calculation of city pair operating costs, maximum payload studies for scheduled and ad hoc flights)
• Assist the Flight Dispatchers by conducting in-depth research on NOTAMs and AIP content.
• Assist the Flight Dispatchers by filtering of NOTAMs from pilot briefing packages.
• Perform regular tasks linked to the Technical Pilot’s Office (e.g.: route information charts / textual airway manual(s) / Airport Moving Maps)
• Perform specific or extra operational or administrative tasks assigned by the Head of Flight Dispatch in order to have the most optimum working environment

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

• General school leaving certificate of secondary education or equivalent (e.g. A-Level, BAC, Abitur)
• Dispatcher license or comparable (e.g. pilot license, ATC license) is mandatory
• Aviation experience required
• Experience with Lido/Flight Data Maintenance
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Result and solution oriented
• Ability to plan/ prioritize work in order to meet deadlines
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and change within a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in written and spoken English, other languages are an advantage
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection
• Position based in Luxembourg
• Regular office hours
• Occasional travel may be required
