Position Overview
Medavia seeks skilled Aircraft Mechanics for our team. Responsibilities include detailed maintenance of aircraft airframes and systems in line with specified standards, and the communication of any defects to supervisors. This is a vital role for ensuring our aircraft’s reliability and safety.
 
Key Responsibilities
- Perform both routine and non-routine maintenance tasks on aircraft during base and line maintenance.
 
- Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and other technical publications.
 
- Replace and install aircraft components and parts.
 
- Maintain accurate experience records, training logs, and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
 
- Ensure proper housekeeping standards and maintain all assigned tools and equipment in good condition.
 
- Report safety hazards, incidents, and defects promptly to supervisors.
 
- Comply with OHS standards, the Company’s SMS, and aviation maintenance regulations.
 
- Collaborate effectively with other maintenance personnel and support departments.
 
- Carry out other duties as assigned by superiors, commensurate with the role.
 
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
- Completed apprenticeship with an aircraft maintenance organization, holding a Journeyman’s Certificate, OTD certification, or equivalent qualification.
 
- Previous experience as an aircraft mechanic or avionics technician in base and/or line maintenance — preferably on ATR and/or Dash 8 aircraft types.
 
- Proficient in using aircraft maintenance manuals and other technical documentation.
 
- Solid understanding of hangar operations, engineering fundamentals, and workshop practices.
 
- Good organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
 
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
 
- Positive attitude, proactive, meticulous, and able to work efficiently under pressure.
 
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
 
- Experience with turboprop aircraft will be considered an asset.
