Attached position / function: Hierarchically reporting to the Department HeadFunctional relationships: All internal or external stakeholders involved in the mission.The role of the flight dispatcher is focused on flight preparation and flight monitoring.Their main mission is to ensure flight preparation and optimization based on factors such as aircraft weight, current weather conditions, and aircraft performance.They technically report to the Department Head, Division Head(s), and Project Manager(s).They also assist the flight crew (pilots) during flight monitoring and execution.For instance, they provide decision support in case of diversions due to adverse weather conditions or engine failure.
Missions & Responsabilités
Technical activities:
- NOTAMS analysis
- Flight route planning
- Fuel calculation based on aircraft weight and current weather conditions
- Aircraft performance calculation (takeoff/landing)
- Requesting overflight rights based on the flight route
- Requesting departure/ arrival slots
- Creating flight plans and sending them to the crew
- Submitting ATC flight plans to civil aviation services
- Bilateral communication wit airports
- Utilising technical proposals
- Identifying potential malfunctions
- Participating in defining the technical scope
- Managing workload to ensure timely completion of flight plans in accordance with regulation and client procedures
- Validating input document
- Conducting route studies
Profil recherché
Level Required (Formation/Experience):
Holder of a diploma or certificate in Aircraft Operations Technician (ENAC, ESMA, Horizons Academy, or equivalent), you must have gained significant experience in Dispatch (ETOPS experience would ba a plus).
