Job Purpose
Crew Controllers are part of Operations Control Centre, reporting to the Manager Crew Operations, they are responsible for both Pilot and Cabin Crew resourcing on a day-to-day basis, to ensure a reliable punctual operation.
Main Accountabilities
- Ensure that crew resources (both Pilot and Cabin Crew) are managed in the most efficient and cost-effective way, in compliance with documented statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Handle operational incidents: aircraft rerouting, low staffing (time of sicks).
- Maintain and develop a professional standard of relations with Crew, other Line Departments, and fellow team members.
- Have a working knowledge of crew agreements and roster policies.
- Participate in Operations Control projects where required.
- Support functions of Crew Control and provide cover where needed.
- Prioritize safety and punctuality in all crew and operation decisions.
Main Relationships
Internal departments: Tracking, TCP and pilots, iOCC, Flight Operations, Customer Response, Dpt Firma, Training, Safety and HR.
Education
Degrees in aeronautical engineering, aviation management, or similar fields are ideal.
Experience
Prior experience in Crew control department, aviation or aviation-related studies are valued positively.
Competencies
- Working under pressure.
- Teamwork and lead skills.
- Flexible, decisive and rigorous. Also, functional, and strict following procedures.
- Analytic profile with attention to details.
- High level of both English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of the tools implemented by the department.
- Basic knowledge of Crew Optimization and Crew Travel areas task
Languages
- Spanish C1
- English C1 (B2 is absolute minimum requirement)
Other
- Rotating shifts. Department available 365 days a year.
