Role Summary
The maintenance planning & technical records engineer is a key position within West Atlantic UK, serving the primary purpose of scheduling and production planning of maintenance in both West Atlantic UK line and base facilities on behalf of internal and third-party organisations whilst performing audits of received paperwork for airworthiness compliance and completeness within the necessary regulatory limitations. This multifunctional role will suit applicants with an analytical mind, high levels of attention to detail and a hard working ethos.
Responsibilities
- Production of a 6 month rolling hangar plan for the West Atlantic UK maintenance facility (EMA) and 4 week plan for West Atlantic UK line stations, liaising with station controllers to ensure all man hour requirements are achievable.
- Ensure any specialist tooling and/or 3rd party services (NDT, aircraft cleaning etc) are available when required.
- Monitor aircraft forecasts daily and ensure that all requirements are planned and accomplished within the necessary AMP and/or regulatory limitations.
- Liaison with sub contracted maintenance planning services, maintaining visibility of scheduled heavy maintenance inputs.
- Liaison with logistics to ensure all requirements are available as planned.
- Liaise with line maintenance control to ensure all deferred defects or unscheduled maintenance requests are planned and accomplished.
- Liaise with the operations department to ensure aircraft utilisation and routing allows for planned maintenance to be accomplished.
- Prepare and distribute work orders to the station controllers ensuring all maintenance documentation is made available.
- Ensure all planned maintenance is accomplished within the necessary AMP and/or regulatory limitations.
- Compliance auditing of completed maintenance performed at both internal and external maintenance facilities.
- Updating aircraft records with accomplishment of all scheduled & non-scheduled maintenance including any component changes made.
Academic/Educational Requirements
Required Skills/Experience/knowledge:
- Previous experience within Pt145 or CAMO environment
- Previous experience of analysing and producing technical documentation in preparation for use by P145 engineering staff
- Team player with ability to work using own initiative when necessary
- Demonstrable communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to interpret OEM and airline technical documentation
Desirable Skills
- Demonstratable skills on the use of M&E software systems Rusada Envision and Trax
- Working with and/or on behalf of third party customer aircraft
Terms and Conditions
Salary - Circa £32,000 dependent on experience
