SIA is recruiting Direct Entry First Officers. To apply, you will need to meet the following requirements:

• Possesses a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate, recognized or can be validated by Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS)
• Holds a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL), Commercial Pilot Licence with Multi-Engine Aircraft Instrument Rating (CPL/MEIR) with frozen ATPL, or Multi Pilot Licence (MPL), recognized or can be validated by CAAS. If you are holding a foreign licence, you may check your eligibility through this document.
• 1500 total multi-crew flying hours on jet engine aircraft with MTOW > 20T. Candidates with less than 1500 but more than 700 hours on these aircraft may be shortlisted based on merit, and may be put through a longer training programme if successful.
• Able to speak and understand English with ICAO English Level 5 or above for inflight radio-telephony communications
• Minimum height requirement of 1.58m to carry out safety and emergency procedures on board
  
  

Selection Process

Applicants will undergo various stages during the recruitment process including (but not limited to) online application, computer assessment test, interviews, simulator assessment and medical check-up.

Successful candidates will be placed on either the B747, B777, B737 or B787 fleet.

Candidates’ previous flying experience may be considered for command upgrade.

Training

Where applicable, successful candidates will be trained to acquire an Aircraft Type Rating.

Bond

Successful candidates who are provided with type rating training will be required to enter a training bond.
