Role: Safety Manager and Simulator Flying Instructor

Location: RAF Brize Norton, Carterton

An exciting and immediate vacancy for a Safety Manager and Simulator Flying Instructor, with experience of A330 (or similar) aircraft.

An opportunity to oversee safety management system training delivery and instruct AirTanker and RAF Pilots on the A330 aircraft.

 

Our Opportunity

We are currently looking to recruit pilot to fill the roles of Safety Manager and as an SFI.

As the Safety Manager, you would oversee the development and implementation of the Voyager Academy Approved Training Organisation (ATO) Safety Management System (SMS). In your SFI role you would deliver Classroom and Simulator Training to AirTanker and RAF Pilots on the Voyager and A330-200 fleet, deliver Crew Resource Management (CRM) training and act as back up for the Chief Technical Knowledge Instructor (CTKI)

The successful candidate would become a Nominated Post Holder and therefore must be considered acceptable to the UK CAA to fulfil the Safety Manager role.

 

About you

You will have proven experience as an Instructor for Airbus A330, ideally as a SFI/TRI/TRE and ideally;

The chosen candidate would have an understanding of the regulatory requirements for SMS, as defined by AMC1 ORA.GEN.200(a)(1) and UK CAA CAP 795.

Candidates will be subject to Security Clearance, depending on areas of responsibly.
