Braathens is a Scandinavian airline with a heritage dating back to 1946. Today, we operate regional flights on behalf of SAS with a single-fleet operation of ATR 72-600 aircraft. Our long-term partnership with SAS provides stability and predictability throughout our operation.

We are a close-knit organization with short decision-making processes and a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and people.

The ATR 72-600 is a modern turboprop aircraft ideally suited for regional operations, offering low fuel consumption and excellent operational flexibility. Our combination of regional flying and ACMI operations provides a sustainable long-term business model, both commercially and operationally.

Operating a single aircraft type creates a streamlined and structured environment with consistent procedures, a stable type-rating environment, and predictable day-to-day operations. Flights are primarily conducted throughout Scandinavia as part of our production for SAS.

The course is scheduled to start in January 2027.
