We are representing a leading aviation organisation seeking a Head of QHS to drive compliance, safety, and quality excellence across multiple European locations. This is a strategic leadership role where you’ll shape frameworks, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and act as a key liaison with regulatory bodies and customers.
About the Role
The Head of QHS will define and implement standards for Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Health & Safety, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and Part 145 approval requirements. You’ll lead a small, collaborative team, focusing on guidance and improvement, and play a pivotal role in operational resilience and regulatory alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the QHS team, aligning departmental goals with company strategy.
- Oversee Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Health & Safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, OEM/MRO standards, and Part 145 requirements
- Drive internal and external audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement programs.
- Implement robust safety protocols and monitor performance indicators.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and customers.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and reporting on compliance, audits, and incidents.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Extensive leadership experience in aviation compliance, safety management, and quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, safety protocols, and Part 145 approval processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel across European locations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Safety Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent).
- Preferred: CAM, CSP, or ARAP certifications.
