Job Purpose
Analyse, update and control daily and cyclical performance data and updates for aircraft operations within the Flight Operations Department, adhering to international aviation regulations and company standards, to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of all flights.
Main Accountabilities
- Ensure accurate and timely updates of airport databases to maintain safe and efficient flight operations.
- Provide precise and timely information to the specialist, ensuring all temporary changes are considered in flight planning and operations.
- Maintain up-to date airport cartography in compliance with operational regulations.
- Ensure the GPWS database reflects the most current terrain information, supporting safe flight operations and timely risk assessment.
- Provide accurate performance factor metrics to adjust fuel loads and maintain efficient and safe engine operations.
- Ensure technical manuals and documentation are accurate, clear, and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Improve efficiency and reduce errors through automation of repetitive data processing tasks.
- Guarantee proper integration of safety-critical performance data into assessments to enhance flight safety.
- Maintain compliance with evolving aviation regulations and industry standards.
- Support risk management strategies for new or modified routes to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
- Download, process, and analyse daily airport database updates, categorising changes in distances, elevations, obstacles, and procedures.
- Identify and evaluate NOTAMs affecting airport operations, determining their impact on performance-related parameters.
- Collaborate with the navigation engineering team in reviewing and categorising airport cartography updates every 28 days.
- Receive, analyse, and verify updates to the GPWS database, assessing their operational relevance.
- Collect and process data on engine performance degradation, integrating results into monthly performance factor calculations.
- Assist in drafting and updating technical manuals and procedural documents in both English and Spanish.
- Develop and implement automation scripts (Python or Visual Basic) for data processing tasks.
- Coordinate with Safety and Compliance teams to collect and analyse performance data from older aircraft models.
- Stay updated on aviation regulatory changes and adjust performance calculation processes accordingly.
- Participate in risk assessments for new or modified flight operations, providing performance-related insights.
Main Relationships
- Flight Operations Department: For daily coordination and reporting of performance data.
- Navigation Department: For collaboration on cartography updates and navigation procedures.
- Safety Compliance Department: For obtaining essential data and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Engineering and Maintenance Departments: For integrating performance data with aircraft maintenance schedules and addressing operational impacts.
- Lufthansa: For receiving and processing daily performance data updates.
- GPWS Database Provider: For terrain database updates and analysis.
- Airport Authorities: For obtaining and verifying NOTAMs and other critical operational data.
- Other Data Providers: For acquiring additional performance-related data and updates.
- Regulatory Bodies (Indirectly through Compliance): To ensure adherence to updated aviation standards and regulations.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, is mandatory to ensure a strong
foundational understanding of aircraft performance principles and the aviation industry standards.
Experience
- No Prior Experience Required, as this position is designed as an entry-level role
suitable for recent graduates. However, any relevant experience in aviation operations or data analysis is considered beneficial.

Languages

Other
