Purpose of the position
As a flight crew member, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of flights, contributing to the highest level of safety and service. Your role is essential in upholding the company’s reputation through your careful, professional, and mindful behaviour.
Main activities and responsibilities
- Actively participate in flight briefings and ensure awareness of all flight specifics.
- Assist in ensuring the highest on-time performance.
- Address any problems or concerns raised and take necessary actions in consultation with the captain.
- Handle safety and security issues during the flight, following relevant procedures in agreement with the captain.
- Act as an ambassador for the company, promoting its values.
- Ensure efficient teamwork and assist colleagues when needed.
- Perform other duties relevant to the achievement of the company’s objectives within your competencies.
Profile requirements

- Comply with local, national legislations and health & safety standards.
- Comply with Company policies, values, and auditor’s code of ethics.
- Report to hierarchy any hazards, non-compliances, and risks whether to customers, employees or to the company.
- Display a positive, open, and cooperative attitude in order to facilitate a good working relationship with all parties involved while maintaining a critical and analytical mindset.
Requirements and qualifications
- Hold a valid EASA CPL or ATPL.
- Have a valid type rating with valid IR rating.
- Acquired 1500hrs on B737/B747/B757/B767 or B777/787.
- Acquired 2000hrs on aircraft with MTOW of more than 44 tons.
- ELP level 5 or better.
- Have the right to work and live in Belgium.
- Hold of all certificates, including those that are health-related, required to enter the territories served by Air Belgium.
