Be the Head of Training who leads Sunclass Airlines’ ATO—own compliance, coach instructors, and raise safety and performance across the Nordics.

Do you have a passion for aviation training and compliance and deep experience in this area? Sunclass Airlines is looking for a dedicated and experienced Head of Training to oversee our Approved Training Organisation (ATO).

About the position

As Head of Training, you will have the overall responsibility for the ATO, ensuring that our training is fully compliant with the appropriate requirements set by aviation authorities. You will play a key role in maintaining and developing the competence of our crew, instructors, and examiners, while also securing the highest safety and operational standards.

You will be part of the Flight Operations department and collaborate closely with other key postholders and training staff. Within our People structure, you will report to the Training Manager, but you will be ultimately responsible to the Accountable Manager, as defined in ORA.GEN.210(b).

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programmes in the ATO for pilots, cabin crew, and other relevant personnel.
• Ensuring that the ATO maintains compliance with EASA and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Supporting instructors, examiners, and other training staff.
• Acting as the primary liaison with aviation authorities regarding ATO matters.
• Monitoring and ensuring the effectiveness and quality of ATO training programmes.
• Preparing and maintaining the ATO manual and other documentation.

• A standards-driven training leader who combines regulatory discipline with hands-on coaching to raise training quality, safety and consistency across all bases.

Must haves:

• Previous experience as a senior instructor/examiner.
• Knowledge of requirements related to aviation training.
• Strong communication and written skills.
• High standards of compliance awareness.
